Election Year Shocka! Obama is actually not who he says he is. He’s not a ‘new kind of politician,’ just a very good snake oil salesman. He’s Slick Willie reincarnated for the post-modern age. He’s as good as Clinton I, maybe better. Is he really a liberal? “It depends on what the meaning of is, is,” you could say. Obama is a Christian, and there’s no reason to think he’s really all that much for gay rights or abortion rights; and really, those are two-things that not negotiable for me. Because the alternative is McCain, I’ll hold my nose if I have to and vote for him. Which is exactly what this excellent editorial from the Stranger says all us suckas will do anyway.
